Happy New Year

I've had some requests from readers who have missed this blog, so I'm making it available for the now.  I can't promise I will keep it up forever.  I haven't deleted anything, and there wasn't a "preferred reader" list while it was blocked.  Google has certain options for limiting readership, and I just took the easiest one that didn't jettison everything I'd written.

2012 wasn't a great year for me, and I'm glad to see it gone.  But we are still alive, in good health, and together, and we have enough to eat and a warm, safe place to sleep.  I have a new part-time job too, one I can do at home that should allow me to keep up with the responsibilities of my family.  I took down the blog partly because I was concerned I would not be able to find a job in my field because of the opinions I expressed within, and since that is no longer really an issue, I'm reinstating it (for now).

I hope all of you who have read the blog and stayed with me are doing well.  I have missed your voices.

God bless.

  2. Grerp,

I thought the election results had depressed you too much to write again( well, that's how I felt) Im glad you are well- health wise- most important thing- but please do keep on writing- I have cribbed your advice and sent it to many, many delusional friends who need it. I need it to make sure I dont become delusional myself- happens when you are older :P Happy New Year!!

  3. Grerp,

Good to see you back - I was worried.

How is your cancer outlook? Don't you go die on us now - the world needs people like you.

  5. Thank you, everyone. 2012 was hard from start to finish, and I needed to hibernate a bit to recoup. I don't have cancer, though, so that is a real relief.

Appreciate the linkage from Dalrock too. :)

  8. Welcome back. I don't think I have commented in the past, because I could never get OpenID to work, but I read a lot.

  9. I've had my share of bad years. 1989 and 2008 in particular. What can you do but try to move forward? Sometimes it feels like moving through molasses, though, and you often get pulled back into those tough times in your mind. My 2008 molasses is lightening up now, I hope yours does soon too.

Anyway, I've enjoyed reading what you have to say.

  14. Hello... just found your blog recently and like it.
I did have some questions for you I wanted to ask privately. You seem like a great person with a good head on your shoulders.
Is there an email that readers can contact you at??

  17. Welcome back. I'm another reader who never commented until now. Your blog is so valuable because you tell the truth in a world full of lies and deception. You are doing God's work.

  20. I'm a single man and about to hit forty, and have just been reading the posts on your site --- I sometimes wonder whether I should have written a blog, but I'm glad I didn't, now, as you've written it for me. The things of which you write are those about which I think, and your views are mine. You don't by any chance have an unattached identical twin, do you...?

Here's hoping 2013 proves to be a better year for you, anyway.

    God bless, Grerp.

    You are correct.
    Protect yourself.
People are so bitter these days and they will work against you if you say something they dont want to hear.

  26. Just found your blog for the first time today and am glad you put it back up. Read through about 10 posts and it's some great work... Funny, thought-provoking, etc. Thanks for sharing. If you ever get tempted to pull it down again though, consider this alternative. convert the posts to essays and put it out as a kindle book under a pseudonym if you have to, so we can all keep a copy. :-)
